	* Feb. 5, 2008: Another miracle! Phoenix’s father wrote another letter to Oprah and her team, thanking them for the call. It gave him hope that he could one day soon give back to his daughter, as she has given to so many over the last 30 yrs. Well, Oprah’s staff called again, thanking him for this 2nd letter, but this time they requested a copy of Phoenix’s book! No words can describe the excitement Phoenix’s father felt when he shared this news with Phoenix and her siblings Tommy and Kathy! Truth be told: There would be no greater joy for Phoenix than to have it be her beloved father, Frank Gilman, who would be the one to get her to Oprah’s stage. Hand in hand…no greater love! 	Jan 26 thru’ Jan 10, 2008: Phoenix’s brother, Tom Gilman, came to stay with her for two weeks so as take part in “The Phoenix Experience.” It’s an intimate, very personalized health program offered to those few, where they come “live & breathe” Phoenix’s lifestyle from morning ‘til night. Her brother launched the program with truly EXTRAORDINARY success, losing an astounding 4.25 inches in only 2 weeks time!!!! But don’t be mistaken, Tommy worked his butt off for this success! 	Sept 18, 2007: Phoenix has been asked to be interviewed by Brad Johnson, a doctoral student at Georgia Southern University, currently working on his dissertation, which is focused upon obesity in our culture. He's examining how our culture (media, advertisements, movies, etc.) portrays a negative stigmatism of people that are overweight/obese. He's also examining the social and emotional affects that are experienced because of these negative stereotypes. (Phoenix is extremely humbled, and equally proud, to be asked to share her research with such an influential organization. This is yet another phenomenal recognition of her work.)

	July 9, 2007: Terms/conditions between Alexander Zaytsev (Russian publisher) and Phoenix have been negotiated and—agreed upon. It is now official! Phoenix will soon be a respected “International Author,” with her book being translated into Russian and distributed throughout Russia.

	April 2007: Ms. Deanna Leah, CEO of HBG Productions and International Publishers Alliance, represented Phoenix’s book at the London Book Fair. So far, 6 countries expressed interest in buying the foreign rights to diet failure…the Naked Truth.

	NOVEMBER 1, 2006: Phoenix finally met with Utah’s WKSL TV (www.ksl.com) station Program Director Michelle Kettle (and the show’s host) to discuss their interest in having her offer her health/nutrition expertise to their new weekly show. Though they were both very impressed with her research, unfortunately, they also expressed concern over her “lack of a medical degree.” As a “researcher” and one who dedicated 4 years extensively to R&D testing endless clinical theories, Phoenix respectfully explained the definition of same. She also expressed how she felt about those with credentials, i.e., MDs, PhDs., etc., and yet, who so often themselves are 50 lbs overweight, suffering with depression, heart disease, and so forth. Not forgetting, if what those with degrees have been advising is the only option—and the only information to be trusted and/or respected—why then, is our obesity rate as high as it is? Why are we all gaining weight at an alarming rate, depressed—and sicker than ever before? Unfortunately, it seemed to fall on deaf ears.

	OCTOBER 7, 2006: Phoenix was approached by a reporter from STAR magazine to be interviewed for an article they were doing on celebs and their supposed “weight gain/weight issues.” The reporter wanted Phoenix to critique stars, from Oprah, Tom Cruise, Lindsey Lohan etc. While Phoenix would love nothing better than to get this live-changing/life-saving research out to the world, this approach was NOT at all her style. Therefore, she was left no choice but to decline this national opportunity.
