Marketing Scams that Are Making Us Fat—and Sicker Than Ever!

As I walk through any given grocery store, I am utterly astounded by the various deceptions perpetuated by food manufacturers—and all to simply sell their products. And why do they lie? Because the best, most effective way to ensure we become a loyal client is by getting us addicted to their products. And the best, most effective way to ensure we become addicted is by hiding sugar, no matter the form, in their food products. Unfortunately, all those promises of a leaner, healthier body by enticing us with such claims as sugar-free, fat-free, net-carb, “Lose up to 6 lbs in Just 2 Weeks,” “100-calorie Snack Packs,” etc., are, instead, making us fat, addicted, depressed, and sicker than ever.
While our government screams their so-called concerns for our obesity rate—and the healthcare costs related to same—I have to seriously wonder why they allow such blatant deception to begin with? Where are the regulations in this industry, regulations that would help protect the unsuspecting consumer? Why don’t they put a STOP to such lies? Why? Because it all comes down to PROFIT.
Example: How can a bag of cookies be SUGAR-FREE? Hmmmmm? Allow me to explain how they can use this this shamefully misleading claim:
1) If the sugar is naturally occuring, as in Smucker’s Jam.
2) If the food manufacturer doesn’t physically add sugar on the front end (not caring that as soon as we eat that moist, little cookie it will turn instantly into blood sugar!)
3) If the product is artificially sweetened, as with aspartame, sucralose/Splenda, etc.
At the very least, each will deplete serotonin, which will lead to even more cravings, weight gain, mood swings, depression, etc. All the while, the ever-trusting consumer who buys these products, thinking they’re doing the healthy thing, will soon become terribly frustrated as to why they’re still gaining weight!
Therefore, I encourage each of you to please beware of such lies and educate yourself so you can live healthy—and disease free!

Phoenix, I have recently purchased your book and am really enjoying reading it. I wanted to get some 5-HTP but it isn’t able to be sold in Australia without a prescription. Strangely enough it’s OK to buy it, but not to sell it. This means I can buy it over the internet from another country, but if I was running a health shop I couldn’t sell it.
Anyway, could you recommend a good brand & online retailer?

Hello John:
Thank you for writing…and for letting me know you’re enjoying my book. Greatly appreciated! And, all the way from Australia!
With regard to the 5, when I’m not formulating my own, I recommend NOW brand. It’s clean, effective, veg’ friendly, and very inexpensive. Please go to wholesalesupplementstore.com.
BTW: How did you hear about my book? Love to know…
And, if you believe in my work, please help me spread this message of TRUTH.
Thank you, John!
Warm Regards,
Phoenix

Thanks Phoenix.
I’ve been lifting weights for a while and back in January purchased the TNT Diet book to help me lose some stubborn fat and build muscle.
Jimmy Moore’s Livin La Vida Low Carb podcast came up a couple of times on the TNT forum. I’ve listed to a couple of the shows - I like Jimmy’s style. One of his shows was an interview with you. Your book sounded interested from the perspective of dealing with the carb cravings.
Hope that helps.

Thank you for letting me know! And, yes, Jimmy is one of my favorite hosts of all time! Love his style, as well!
I hope you can get the 5, as it holds the key to your LONG-TERM weight loss success, and helping you live free of numerous other health conditions.
Please keep me posted as to how you’re doing, John. Love to hear…
Best!
Phoenix
