			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the crazy, demoralizing world of dieting, we’re relentlessly reminded through the media-, and our very own family, that this failure must be our fault. After all, how can one possibly not be held accountable to being able to lose (and keep off) a few lousy pounds?</p>
<p>Although we passionately try again and again with every diet that comes along (no matter how absurd the weight loss claims may be!), we continuously fail. We can’t help but feel alone. Lost. Desperate. With each failed diet, our sense of self-worth is further shattered. And then, in the dark of night, we silently pray that one day soon our willpower will be enough. </p>
<p>While willpower, moreover, a “desire” to succeed is required, it has nothing to do with why we’re unable to ignore the insatiable cravings that faithfully come calling daily or why we’re so often driven to consume our food in a frenzy. Without a doubt, succumbing to the cravings and binge eating will impede our weight loss goals. However, the time has come to stop blaming ourselves. It’s time to learn the TRUTH!</p>
<p>I understand there will always be those individuals who don’t care about living a healthy lifestyle, at the very least, living free of excess weight. But most people do care. The truth of the matter is, our inability to adhere to a healthy way of eating is NOT our fault! My research will explain why diet failure is not due to lack of willpower, emotional attachment, or so-called carb addiction. </p>
<p>The primary reasons why diets fail is due to carbohydrate/sugar cravings and binge eating. More importantly, the reason why we’re unable to control these eating behaviors is due to a major neurotransmitter that becomes depleted. That brain chemical is called serotonin. Serotonin is the master communicator among all brain chemicals. Therefore, for the brain and body to function at its best, it must be maintained. </p>
<p>Unfortunately, we live in a society that depletes it at every turn, from stress, lack of quality sleep, caffeine, nicotine, sugar/high glycemic carbs, artificial sweeteners, to low-fat dieting, dieting in general, lack of exercise, prescription and OTC meds. Worse yet, in addition to cravings and binge eating, side effects of low serotonin can range from anxiety, rage, mood swings, depression, ADD/ADHD,  insomnia, PMS, migraines, to alcoholism, schizophrenia, and suicide. </p>
<p>Once serotonin is depleted, our brain will force us on a subconscious level to consume the type of food/beverages that will quickly elevate it. Regrettably, the things that achieve this are the carbs that break down quickest into blood sugar and thus, spike insulin levels. Once insulin is spiked, fat cells are open and ready to gorge. With so many things depleting this major neurotransmitter, no wonder our rate of obesity is so frightening—and why so many suffer with depression. </p>
<p>But hold on! Please don’t be discouraged! The good news is I’m here to help you get started on a healthier path today. The following health tips are an excellent way to start: </p>
<p>- Feel sluggish? Can’t eat like you used to? Want to speed up your metabolism without harmful drugs or stimulants? The best way to kick your metabolism into high gear is by first fueling your body every 3 hours. In theory: eat less, more often. These meals should consist of a protein (fish, poultry, lean meat, eggs, tofu, etc.), a healthy dietary fat (fresh white cheese, nuts, avocado, real butter, olive oil, etc.), with a low GI carb (tomato, asparagus, collards, black beans, berries, etc.)  Next, build lean muscle with resistance training. Unlike fat, muscle is an extremely active tissue. Therefore, it requires a certain amount of fuel to sustain itself. Subsequently, more lean muscle equals a higher metabolism.   </p>
<p>- If you don’t eat breakfast, start! By merely eating breakfast, you’ll see a huge difference in your energy levels throughout the day. (Your body will also start to release some of its stored fat once it can rely on you fueling it on a “regular” basis.)      </p>
<p>-  Put down the latte, low-fat or otherwise! Why? Because unlike what Starbucks would love for us to believe, caffeine, be it found in your cup of Joe, soda, or iced tea, plays a major role in depleting serotonin. And, low serotonin levels will, at bare minimum, perpetuate your cravings, binge eating, mood swings, and increase your risks for Type 2 diabetes and heart disease.    </p>
<p>- Think you’re doing right by eating low-fat, fat-free, sugar-free, or net-carb? Sorry, think again. These foods most often contain a ton of hidden sugar, artificial sweeteners, and other ingredients that will trigger your insulin, deplete your serotonin, and perpetuate the vicious cycle of cravings and weight gain.   </p>
<p>-  Want to look 10 years younger…and look great naked? If you desire a lean, healthy and vibrant body, one that looks sensational both in and OUT of clothes, avoid sugar/high GI carbs, be it a candy bar, pastry, chips, cereal, fruit juice, bagel, fries, pasta, cocktails, protein bars (yes, protein bars!) diet foods, etc.   </p>
<p>Nevertheless, the crucial link to being able to avoid these common comfort foods (and without ever feeling hungry or deprived), is by maintaining your serotonin. And, the safest, most effective way to accomplish this is with a dietary supplement called 5-HTP. 5-HTP is a natural amino acid that’s been safely used for decades. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Shockingly, our best intentions to live a long and healthy life are deliberately sabotaged. From the diet industry to the food and pharmaceutical industries, the primary goal of these profit-driven conglomerates is to sell their products at whatever cost. That cost just happens to be our health—and most often—our very life. One only has to look around or listen to the news on any given day to realize that they’re succeeding at a frightening rate. Though it may seem hopeless to break away from their toxic and manipulative grip, I’m here to educate you, to empower you so you (and your children) can live a life free of weight issues, depression, insomnia, ADD/ADHD, type 2 diabetes, while greatly reducing your risks for high blood pressure, cancer and heart disease. </p>
<p>From deceptive labeling to downright lying, the food manufactures only make money if you keep buying their products. Unfortunately, for the consumer, the most effective way to do this is to get us addicted. And to get us addicted they use sugar, lots of sugar, and they disguise it under various names, names that the average consumer will never recognize as sugar.</p>
<p>And, unbeknownst to the far too trusting consumer, they believe what the label claims, be it fat-free, sugar-free, or low-carb/net-carb. However, buyer beware! The foods that bare these labels are the worst for perpetuating cravings, subsequent weight gain, as well as bloating, binge eating, depression, ADD/ADHD, and even heart disease. </p>
<p>The drugs that the pharmaceutical companies pitch through their endless fear-based TV ads every single day—ads that imply their drugs will cure us of all our ills—are tragically making us sicker than ever, if not killing us quicker. And why is this? Because prescription and nonprescription drugs are substances foreign to the body. They’re not natural. They’re chemicals and poisonous and, if taken long enough, they will most definitely create new disease in the body. </p>
<p>You must also realize that “FDA Approved” has come to mean nothing due to the drug companies flagrantly altering their clinical studies to suit their selfish needs. It’s alarmingly apparent that they’re in bed financially with the FDA. One hand is despicably washing the other.   </p>
<p>The diet industry, who shamelessly preys on the unsuspecting consumer with Photoshop inspired images and miraculous tales of weight loss success by merely taking a “little white pill,” is not only delusional, but these diet products are unhealthy at best. Furthermore, they so often perpetuate the weight gain cycle, because the consumer has only to go off these pills to once again be driven to consume the foods/beverages that will trigger insulin, and thus, make their bodies store even more F-A-T! It is, regrettably, a vicious cycle of weight loss/weight gain. Never forgetting, the deep-seated emotional trauma that occurs due to continually failing at diet after diet.</p>
<p>So, how can one possibly hope to live a long, happy and healthy life when we are blatantly lied to at every turn? And why doesn’t our government step in to protect us from these money-hungry entities? I’ll tell you why. Because they’re nothing more than incestuous business relationships that thrive at our expense, while they earn billions of dollars.  </p>
<p>While it sounds dreadfully hopeless, my goal is to help you realize that the above deceptions have significantly contributed to your inability to achieve the healthy body (and mind) you desire and deserve. However, the lies stop here, as I have uncovered extraordinary research, research that can empower millions, research that I’m extremely eager to share with you.  </p>
<p>I’m a woman who has always sought the truth, and having worked in the Health/Wellness field for over 25 years, I was fed up with the misinformation and marketing scams running rampant in the aforementioned industries. I also knew that obesity was based on something far more than people being weak-willed. I knew that diet failure went far beyond willpower, emotional attachment, and carb addiction. After all, haven’t you ever wondered why it’s so hard to stick to a healthy way of eating? Haven’t you ever wondered why, no matter how many times or in how many ways health experts tell you what to eat to lose the weight, you simply cannot stick to their diets? Haven’t you ever wondered why cravings are always your downfall? Haven’t you ever wondered why all your diets have failed? </p>
<p>Of course you have. We all have. Time after time, you start a diet with all the passion, conviction, and promises that you’ll succeed. You vow to do whatever it takes, and as long as it takes, to lose the weight. Considering you’re far from being a quitter, you begin each new diet with this same intensity. You’re off to a great start. Eating low-calorie, then low-fat, now it’s low-carb. You’re not really sure what to eat anymore, but you are committed like never before! </p>
<p>Sadly, only weeks, maybe months into it, you find yourself sabotaging this diet as well. Chip by chip. Cookie by cookie. You find it impossible to resist the foods that have always given you such comfort. With each loss of control, the pounds start to creep back on. Whatever weight you lost, you’ve gained back—and more! But why? Why is it so hard? </p>
<p>Based on the frustrations that people were enduring daily, I dedicated four years extensively to R&#038;D and another two years to write about that life-saving research. Teaching others how to never diet again is just the beginning…</p>

Both young and old consume it daily—and at an alarming rate—be it in their lattes, energy drinks, ice teas, sodas, etc. Yet caffeine is highly addictive and it drastically depletes serotonin, a major neurotransmitter that governs critical aspects of the brain’s ability to function properly.</p>
<p>Obesity is a frightening epidemic. Antidepressants are the most prescribed pharmaceutical drug. As such, researcher and international author Phoenix Gilman is urgently trying to inform others, through her book and interviews nationwide, that caffeine is contributing significantly to our health crisis. </p>
<p>Gilman says, “Caffeine, along with many other things, depletes serotonin. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As I walk through any given grocery store, I am utterly astounded by the various deceptions perpetuated by food manufacturers—and all to simply sell their products. <em>And why do they lie?</em> Because the best, most effective way to ensure we become a loyal client is by getting us addicted to their products. And the best, most effective way to ensure we become addicted is by hiding sugar, no matter the form, in their food products. Unfortunately, all those promises of a leaner, healthier body by enticing us with such claims as sugar-free, fat-free, net-carb, &#8220;Lose up to 6 lbs in Just 2 Weeks,&#8221; &#8220;100-calorie Snack Packs,&#8221; etc., are, instead, making us fat, addicted, depressed, and sicker than ever. </p>
<p>While our government screams their so-called concerns for our obesity rate—and the healthcare costs related to same—I have to seriously wonder <em>why</em> they allow such blatant deception to begin with? Where are the regulations in this industry, regulations that would help protect the unsuspecting consumer? Why don&#8217;t they put a STOP to such lies? <em>Why?</em> Because it all comes down to PROFIT. </p>
<p>Example: How can a bag of cookies be <strong>SUGAR-FREE</strong>? <em>Hmmmmm?</em> Allow me to explain how they can use this this shamefully misleading claim:</p>
<p>1) If the sugar is <em>naturally</em> occuring, as in Smucker&#8217;s Jam.<br />
2) If the food manufacturer doesn&#8217;t physically add sugar on the front end (not caring that as soon as we eat that moist, little cookie it will turn instantly into blood sugar!)<br />
3) If the product is <em>artificially</em> sweetened, as with aspartame, sucralose/Splenda, etc.</p>
<p>At the very least, each will deplete serotonin, which will lead to even more cravings, weight gain, mood swings, depression, etc. All the while, the ever-trusting consumer who buys these products, <em>thinking they&#8217;re doing the healthy thing</em>, will soon become terribly frustrated as to why they&#8217;re still gaining weight!</p>
<p>Therefore, I encourage each of you to please beware of such lies and educate yourself so you can live healthy—and disease free! </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For those who wonder why Americans are heavier than ever, carb addicted, depressed, and suffering with heart disease, you need not look any further than the low-fat myth that has sadly been perpetuated for the last 30 years.</p>
<p>I like to call this the “low-fat myth,” because there wasn’t one, long-term study that verified the efficacy of such a diet. First of all, eating healthy fats such as fresh cheese, real butter, eggs, heavy cream and olive oil do not trigger insulin, the hormone that, among many things, is the fat-building/fat-storing hormone. Basic biology: insulin must be present to store body fat. Eating good, healthy fat does NOT trigger the insulin response. All the more reason I’m shocked by how many so-called experts are still promoting this dangerous myth.</p>
<p>Furthermore, if you’re eating a low-fat diet, you’re definitely eating too many carbs/sugar. Typical low-fat breakfast: Cheerios, skim milk, blueberries, glass of OJ, and coffee with Splenda. Low-fat snack: yogurt or a smoothie with banana, pineapple and soymilk. Yet these foods are nothing but sugar, i.e., ’simple carbs,’ in the same family as a candy bar. Each one will trigger insulin, causing the body to store fat. The liquid carbs—juice, milk and smoothie—will affect blood sugar levels even more dramatically. Equally alarming, these foods, along with the caffeine and artificial sweetener, deplete serotonin, a major neurotransmitter that governs carbohydrate cravings and satiety, along with mood, sleep, etc.</p>
<p>Though the low-fat diet has clearly not worked, the fear of eating healthy fat still runs rampant: hence, our ever-growing rate of obesity, type 2 diabetes, thyroid issues, high blood pressure, stroke and heart disease. However, those who are following the research as outlined in my book, are proving where the TRUTH really lies. My clients are losing weight—and keeping it off; I’m reversing their type 2 diabetes; improving thyroid function; alleviating depression, insomnia, and ADD/ADHD; lowering high blood pressure; and achieving healthier cholesterol panels, thus reducing their risk for stroke and heart disease.</p>
<p>So, can anyone please tell me <em>why</em> so many people still risk their health with the low-fat myth?</p>
